Zanzibar is an island found in Tanzania.
Zanzibar once an Arabic colony and one of the largest slave markets united with Tanganyika on 26th April 1964 to form Tanzania.
The two main islands that form Zanzibar are Unguja the capital, and Pemba.
As it stands Zanzibar is currently the leading beach holiday destinations in East Africa.
